Synopsis:
This shocking ordeal of modern-day anti-Semitism is based on the 2006 kidnapping of llan Halimi, 23, a Jewish clerk in a cell phone store in suburban Paris. Believing that all Jews are rich and protect their own, a violent gang targets the young man and lures him to disaster.

This taut French drama follows the police and the frightened Halimi family for 24 days. The movie is both a crisp real-life thriller and a meditation on how one truly understands what really motivates people.

Winner of the Jerusalem Film Festival’s Lia Award, given to films dealing with Jewish heritage.
