In 1940s Santiago de Chile, 20-year-old “Alejandrito” Jodorowsky vows to become a poet against the will of his disciplinarian father. Leaving home, he is introduced to the inner circle of the artistic and intellectual avant-garde of the time, meeting Enrique Lihn, Stella Diaz, Nicanor Parra and many other promising young writers who will become the masters of Latin America’s modern literature. Immersed in a world of poetic experimentation, they live together as few have dared to live before: sensually, authentically, freely, madly. Continuing the autobiographical exploration begun in THE DANCE OF REALITY, Jodorowsky’s new film is a euphoric and unadulterated portrayal of artistic exuberance told through his signature dreamlike and kaleidoscopic visual language.

“A work of transporting charm and feeling. It’s the most accessible movie the director has ever made, and it may also be the best.” —Owen Gleiberman, Variety
“As with everything Jodorowsky has ever made, or indeed said, watching ENDLESS POETRY—the second installment of a planned series of five cinematic memoirs—one is never quite sure what is truth, or allegory, or Freudian musing, or the result of too much mescaline during the 1960s…We are not worthy of Jodorowsky: we never have been.” —Tara Brady, Irish Times
