Based on Nicole Krauss’ award-winning novel, The History of Love is a sprawling saga of undaunted ardor and merciless twists of fate. The film begins in pre-war Poland and follows Leo and Alma, sweethearts whose romance is thwarted by the rise of Fascism. Aided by a brilliant cast, director Radu Mihaileanu deftly weaves Krauss’s novel into a soaring epic that touches on the duties of Jewishness, literature, and love. Starring Derek Jacobi, Elliot Gould, & Gemma Arterton.

Hosted by the National Council of Jewish Women, Nashville Section
