It's a shame what happened at Camp Crystal Lake all those years ago—that poor little boy drowning. And then those unsolved murders... But enough time has passed, it seems, to open the place back up for a whole new generation for whom the Voorhees family unpleasantness is just an old rumor wrapped in a mystery. But you see, there's a reason they call the place Camp Blood. And Crystal Lake will run red when Friday the 13th rolls around…

In association with the Murfreesboro Discovery Center’s Tennessee STEAM festival, Friday night’s screening will include a pre-show talk by Vanderbilt University’s Dr. David Zald about the psychology of fear. One lucky audience member will be hooked up to special Psychophysiological Recording Equipment which will monitor their body’s reaction to fear followed by a live analysis of the results by Dr. Zald. Don’t miss out on this very spooky, one-of-a-kind screening Friday, October 13th!

About David Zald:

David Zald, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University, where he also directs the Affective Neuroscience Laboratory and the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience for Undergraduates.  Dr. Zald’s primary research aims to understand how the brain processes emotion and how individual differences in specific brain circuits are related to personality, emotional experience and mental health problems.
