A visually lush historical drama recounting the story of army captain Barros Basta, a convert to Judaism who established the Jewish Community of Oporto, Portugal. Four hundred years after the expulsion of the Jews from Portugal, Basta founded a seminary and built the largest synagogue in the Iberian Peninsula.
